Holiday Leftovers: My 5 Favorite Posts from 2008

December 30, 2008

Can you believe 2008 is almost over? As the year winds down, I'm looking back on all the posts I've written for Being Savvy Long Beach and choosing a few of my faves:

In Long Beach, A is for Aquarium, M is for MOLAA, and W is for West Coast Choppers. The LBC ABC is a uniquely Long Beach alphabet. It's good place to start if you're visiting for the weekend, or you're new in town and want to learn more about the city.

Kid food doesn't have to be all mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. In Little Gourmets: Eat Your Way Around the World in Long Beach, read about kid-friendly options at Long Beach ethnic restaurants.

It doesn't rain here all that often, but when it does I'm at a loss for what to do, since most of our Southern California attractions are outdoors. In Top 5 Things to Do in Long Beach on a Rainy Day, read about places to go when the weather outside is frightful. (And by the way, these places also work for those mid-August days when it's too hot to play outdoors.)

One of the best things about living here is having all the riches of Southern California within driving distance. Discover some of the best places to visit with kids in Four Great Day Trips.

If your New Year's Resolution is to save money, and you're looking for things to do that won't drain your bank account, check out this list of Free Days at Southern California Museums.
