I like to fly solo when I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner, but my daughter always wants to "help" in the kitchen. This year, I'm planning to give her the same task my mother assigned me when I was a kid: stuffing celery with cream cheese. The Bowers Kidseum

Tuesday, in my ongoing quest to (1) get us out of the house but (2) avoid the smoke-filled air outside, we drove down to the Bowers Kidseum on Main Street in Santa Ana.
